The specimen grip for steel strip cord

The pneumatic grip for yarn and tire cords is a single actuator grip used on filamentary tensile specimens.

The specimen grip is suitable for steel tire cords to BISFA.

The force reduction curve employing 270° deflection carefully reduces the tensile force on the clamping position. The pneumatic clamping ensures a constant gripping force and can be easily and reproducible set. The specimen is held securely, jaw breaks are avoided. A guide groove is integrated into the load reduction roller and basic unit for thread feeding, Therefore the specimen is conveniently and quickly positioned in the tensile axis.

Pneumatic Control Unit for Specimen Grips

Function description

The load-reduction curve with 270° deflection gently reduces the tensile force before the clamping point. Pneumatic clamping ensures constant gripping force with easy, reproducible adjustment. The specimen is held securely and jaw breaks are avoided.

A guide groove for feeding in the yarn is incorporated into the load reduction roller and basic unit, allowing the specimen to be positioned in the tensile axis quickly and easily.

The opening and closing of the specimen grips can be controlled by foot switches or via the remote control of the materials testing machine for greater operating comfort.
