Standard and non-standard material testing
Within their labs, DSM performs a broad range of standard and non-standard material tests. This requires, e.g., the tensile setups to change configuration from a weekly, to almost daily basis and custom test protocols need to be developed. The flexibility this requires, is provided by ZwickRoell.
Over 20 testing machines and testing devices are used at the site in Geleen. Besides Heerlen (NL) and Genk (B) many more testing machines from ZwickRoell are being used worldwide. From some universal testing machines AllroundLine over Melt Flow Testers, Pendulum Impact Testers and Drop Weight Testers up to one Electrodynamic Testing Machine LTM. Since the beginning of the cooperation 25 years ago, DSM values its relation with ZwickRoell for the following reasons:
High flexibility in the testing software
The testing software testXpert III not only offers DSM the possibility to export all measurement results in different formats. The integration of cameras is also a perfect combination for recording and synchronizing images and videos during the tests. Another crucial point is the flexibility to create your own test protocols with the graphical sequence editor.
Convincing hardware
The simplicity of exchanging components quickly and easily makes everyday testing at DSM much easier. The versatility of the different extensometers for different applications as well as the flexibility to set up customer-specific test setups in the machine and to integrate peripheral devices is not a matter of course and a great advantage ZwickRoell offers.
